As one of the first digital healthcare agencies developing on the Microsoft HoloLens, we wanted to create an educational Augmented Reality experience that showcased both the capabilities of the platform and our unparalleled scientific storytelling skills.
We crafted a HoloLens experience that educates users on CRISPR/Cas9 targeted genome editing and its promise for the treatment of cystic fibrosis. Setting the story within a body affected by cystic fibrosis allowed us to visualize the science over a wide-ranging scale. From the exterior of the human body down to the molecular level, each chapter on the journey educated the user through animated holograms paired with narration.
Scientific content brought to life in brilliant 3D exists with the user in their own augmented environment as a magically entrancing experience. The promise of the HoloLens Augmented Reality platform is just now being realized for scientific training and education that is proving to accelerate learning through increased engagement and retention.
