CHALLENGE:
Our client needed to shape awareness in physicians of how changes in brain volume can be used as a measure of atrophy in better staging the progression of multiple sclerosis, and thereby create an urgency to treat early.
TRANSFORMATION:
The project began with an extensive literature review to source data. We then integrated the data into a comprehensive 6-module interactive patient-focused story, ranging from changes in anatomy, cognition and disability, to health economics and the potential benefits of early intervention.
RESULT:
Our touchscreen installation was used by physicians 224 times at the American Academy of Neurology conference in April 2016. With an average length of viewing time of 2:06 minutes, the application helped stimulate physicians to think about the benefits to their patients of starting treatment earlier.
