CHALLENGE:
We wanted to create an HTC Vive proof-of-concept that would take advantage of its hand controllers, one of the key differentiators from competing VR headsets. Game play would have to be simple and intuitive, so that nothing would jolt the user out of their belief in this new reality.
TRANSFORMATION:
The concept of a build-a-skeleton game was devised as an ideal opportunity to show off our appreciation for the study of human anatomy while making best use of the hand controllers. Setting it in a Victorian study unleashed the imagination of our production team, who sourced a multitude of scientific curiosities and invented humorous interactions for all of them (the heart beats, instruments break, and more).
RESULT:
The Enlightened League of Bone Builders quickly developed into the most accomplished VR experience we’ve created—and it all started with the desire to make science engaging, entertaining, and unexpected.
